The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • A list of tools that you have added to your Tool Record, including receipts and photos (if you have provided them)
  • Information about thefts that you have told us about

How we get the personal information and why we have it

All of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • To allow you to log in to the website to access your Tool Record
  • To allow you to keep a record of the tools that you own
  • To allow you to mark tools as stolen, if you suffer a theft

We do not receive any personal information about you indirectly.

We use the information that you have given us in order to access your personal Tool Record, to view the tools that you have added to your record, and to report thefts.

We will not share your personal information with anyone else.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting [email protected]
(b) We have a legitimate interest. (We cannot keep a record of the tools that you own without holding the information that you have given us).

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored.

We keep the information that you have given us for at least 12 months. If your account becomes inactive for at least 12 months, we will then delete your account and dispose of all your information by deleting it from our database. Any files or images that you have uploaded will also be deleted.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
